The Miami Lakes Par 3 Park is a strategic re-branding effort by the Town of Miami Lakes to establish a neighborhood park for it’s current and future residents. Large existing electrical poles that run the length of the project site initially presented a challenge. The proposal mitigates the massive scale of the poles by adding a mid-story catenary structure that reinforce this linear corridor while establishing a playful element at a human-scale. The re-imagined corridor becomes a pedestrian amenity space and a branding element for the town.
 

Improvements to the park also include a re-imagined community lake, open-lawn and boulder play areas, butterfly gardens, fitness stations, fixed seating elements, pedestrian paths and cycling paths. Lou was the Lead Designer and Project Manager for Miami Lakes Par 3 Park while at Land Collective.
