Miami Lakes Par 3 Park

Miami, USA

The Miami Lakes Par 3 Park is a strategic re-branding effort by the Town of Miami Lakes to establish a neighborhood park for its current and future residents. Large existing electrical poles that run the length of the project site initially presented a challenge. The proposal mitigates the massive scale of the poles by adding a mid-story catenary structure that reinforce this linear corridor while establishing a playful element at a humanscale. The re-imagined corridor becomes a pedestrian amenity space and a branding element for the town.

Improvements to the park also include a re-imagined community lake, open-lawn and boulder play areas, butterfly gardens, fitness stations, fixed seating elements, and pedestrian and cycling paths. Lou Arencibia worked as design lead and project manager on this project while at Land Collective.
