CCB PLAZA COMPETITION

For this project, we envisioned a truly public space, one that presented opportunities for engagement with art, music, events, play, and leisure.

OLA's proposal for the Common Good Commons was submitted to the Indianapolis Mayor’s Office for the re-design of a public plaza for the downtown City-Council Building area. Conceived as a series of interactive green spaces, the new design funnels users to the public plaza as well as the main entrance to the City-Council Building. Key elements of the design include an amphitheater, a summertime in-ground fountain, a winter ice rink, interactive art pieces, a gallery showcasing local artists, a café, and a great lawn.
