Set along a woodland edge in Pound Ridge, New York, this carbon-neutral home prioritizes sustainable design and reinforces the connection between the built and the natural environment. Through an incorporation of advanced materials and finishes the design showcases innovative techniques, while elevating comfort and establishing a sense of place. To support both living and entertaining, OLA designed a master plan that guided a series of phased interventions that were in reference to the existing context and that could seamlessly accommodate future integrations. The resulting plan includes a variety of experiences such as a bespoke fire pit, multiple outdoor terraces, a vegetable garden, an outdoor kitchen, and an entry drive. The OLA team is currently collaborating with the residents to implement Phase 2 of the design which deepens the connection to the site and includes a pool and a spa.
